A Career Built on Support and Purpose: Christopher’s Sharp Journey

Christopher began his career as a transport orderly and nursing assistant at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns. During that time, he experienced a moment he’ll never forget. While transporting a patient and her newborn, the baby suddenly began choking. Thinking fast, Christopher performed a finger sweep to clear the airway. “It made me feel really good about myself to help this newborn,” he said proudly, “and I’ll never forget that day.”


Now a Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Lead at Sharp Memorial Medical Campus, Christopher’s journey reflects the real growth opportunities available at Sharp.
